Who We Are

At Social Nature, we know that what we consume has an impact - on our health and the planet.

We’re driving impact by changing what’s in people's grocery baskets and have built a best-in-class product sampling platform that helps people try something that’s better for them and the planet on their next shopping trip.

Over the last seven years, our community has grown to almost one million members and we have worked with over 500 natural food and health brands across North America. We’re not stopping until every CPG brand in the world is launching their healthy and sustainable products on Social Nature so that more people can #trynatural.

We’re currently a team of 40 changemakers and are growing quickly. We have an entrepreneurial culture that values making it happen, focusing on impact, championing the customer, winning together, keeping it real, and owning our craft.

We are proud to be recognized in 2021 and 2022 as one of the Best Places to Work in Canada.

About the Role

This is a dynamic role suited for a business generalist who has working knowledge of all areas of business, as well as exceptional communication and organizational skills.

Reporting into and directly supporting the Founder/CEO, your key focus will be to increase their capacity by managing the flow of communication across our Leadership team. You’ll continuously track key organizational and operational information as it moves within and across departments- quickly synthesizing and sharing key and need to know points.

You’ll have the opportunity to create these processes and bring your experience, ideas and potential tools to the table. We’re excited for you to bring fresh eyes to the team and help identify areas for meeting, planning, and organizational efficiency.

You’ll also work to support our Leadership team in achieving their departmental goals by ensuring action items and agreed deliverables are communicated, followed up upon and roadblocks are removed. You’ll work across the business and identify, kick off and own various special projects.

About You

You’ll be at a growth stage in your career where you have a solid 7-10 years experience in supporting business operations and are ready to take on the challenge of a growth stage startup!

Part communication specialist, part internal operations, part project manager, no two days will be the same.

You’ll likely have a background in Business Operations or Communications or Project Management or have been a Sr. Executive Assistant to a Founder/CEO at a high-growth company.

Ideally you’ll have worked in a dynamic startup environment before, perhaps even as Founder to your own!

You are extremely detail oriented, an expert in business communication and a proven track record working in dynamic, often ambiguous environments. You are effective in taking in a variety of information, are able to weed through it, distil it down and create an actionable plan to execute. You enjoy making sense out of the chaos and can easily context switch between tasks and projects.

You have a proven record of working with various stakeholders, including Sr Management , have a high EQ and understand the importance of developing a professional rapport and gaining buy in for new initiatives. You are recognized for your facilitation and communication skills.

You are a creative and flexible problem solver and can come up with multiple solutions to the same problem. You enjoy wearing multiple hats and whatever you don’t know you’re confident you can figure it out!

Experience implementing and/or managing frameworks such as OKR and/or EOS is highly desired.

As we grow you will have the opportunity to grow! This role sets you up for a few different paths as we move into our Series A raise. Our immediate needs do require even the most Sr folks to be prepared to roll up their sleeves and tackle the tactical day to day. You'll help our internal operations run smoothly while ensuring our CEO is as efficient and effective as possible while she focuses on closing a Series A round. No job is too big or too small.
